In a recent operation on the Eastern route, the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) intercepted a shipment of 3909 boxes of Mariana Spaghetti valued at K482,568.58.
Investigations revealed that these goods were smuggled into the country without proper customs clearance, resulting in a revenue loss of over K200,000.
ZRA has cautioned individuals and businesses involved in such illicit activities of facing severe consequences, including fines, penalties, prosecution, and seizure of goods, as per the provisions of the Customs and Excise Act.
