In a powerful collective response, a coalition of civil society organizations in Zambia has strongly rejected the proposed Cyber Security, Cyber Crimes, and Anti-Terrorism Bills put forward by the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) government. These groups, which include influential organisations such as Chapter One Foundation, Transparency International Zambia, and MISA Zambia, have denounced the bills as an alarming attempt to recycle authoritarian practices under the guise of progressive security reforms.
