A four-member delegation from the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry has returned from the Global Development Governance Think Tank Talent Exchange Seminar in China with renewed commitment to advancing Zambia’s national development goals.
The seminar, which attracted experts and policymakers from several African countries, focused on knowledge exchange and lessons from China’s governance and sustainable development practices.
Leading the Zambian team, Ministry Principal Public Relations Officer Everness Nankala said the discussions underscored the importance of innovative governance, digital transformation, and inclusive development.
She highlighted China’s success in poverty reduction, infrastructure expansion, and technological advancement as key examples Zambia can emulate. Nankala noted that long-term planning, strategic investment, and institutional reform are vital pillars for Zambia’s sustainable growth.
She emphasized that insights gained will inform Zambia’s policy direction and enhance collaboration with international partners.
The seminar also strengthened cooperation among global think tanks, with Nankala reaffirming Zambia’s dedication to leveraging such partnerships to tackle domestic challenges through international cooperation and shared development goals.
