LUNGU DIDN’T HATE PRESIDENT HICHILEMA – KABIMBA
EF Leader Calls for Peaceful and Dignified Funeral

Economic Front (EF) President Wynter Kabimba has revealed that the late President Edgar Chagwa Lungu harbored no hatred toward President Hakainde Hichilema, contrary to public perceptions following his death.
Mr. Kabimba disclosed that although Mr. Lungu expressed deep concern about the alleged mistreatment of his family by the state, he never spoke with bitterness or hatred. “He only wanted fairness for his family. He didn’t believe they deserved the pain they were going through,” said Kabimba.
Speaking during an interview, the opposition leader stated that current tensions surrounding Lungu’s passing are politically motivated and likely orchestrated by individuals who were close to him before his death.
“In all my interactions with him after leaving office, I never saw any hatred toward President Hichilema,” Mr. Kabimba stressed, dispelling claims of deep-seated animosity between the two leaders.
He has since appealed for peace and unity as the nation mourns the former head of state. “Let us celebrate his life in a manner that matches his stature. What is being done now is wrong,” he said, urging those in charge of the funeral and burial arrangements to act responsibly and with dignity.
