NKANA Water Supply and Sanitation Company (NWSC) will continue to refine its policies and ensure that, while it improves service delivery, it also puts in place measures that will make it convenient for its customers to pay bills on time and allow the water utility company to continue setting the stage for quality service delivery
NWSC Public Relations Manager Bivan Saluseki said, in an effort to make it convenient for customers to pay bills on time , the water utility company will from February 1, 2025 fully transition to cashless system to serve its customers better
Mr Saluseki said all pay points and customer service centres will begin to transition to automated payments and that individual and corporate clients will be required to use available digital platforms for water and sanitation bills
“With effect from February 1, 2025, NWSC will fully transition to cashless system to serve our customers better. All pay points and customer service centres will begin to transition to automated payments
“This means that all individual and corporate clients will be required to use available digital platforms like mobile phones for water and sanitation bills
Let me state that after the transition to cashless, no one will lose jobs, all cashiers will be integrated into various departments ,’’ Mr Saluseki said
Mr Saluseki has urged customers to continue supporting the water utility company through payment of bills and safeguarding infrastructure as the company intensifies its critical mission of delivering quality, safe, hygienic and healthy sanitation services
He said delivering quality, safe, hygienic and healthy sanitation services in communities will help to set the stage for a more healthier and productive lives free from the turmoil caused by preventable diseases or environmental degradation
He said the water utility company was not only emphasising on working hard to deliver quality safe, hygienic and healthy sanitation services, but was also working hard to improve water supply services to prevent the outbreak of water borne diseases like Cholera
