Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary, Thabo Kawana, has dispelled allegations that Moses Kalonde has been appointed to the Technical Committee on Constitution Amendments.
Mr Kawana has told Journalists during a Press briefing at his office in Lusaka today, that the allegations which were made by some online publications, are aimed at discrediting the Technical Committee on Constitution Amendments.
He clarified that Mr Kalonde is not a member of the technical committee and stressed that at no point has he been given that appointment.
ZANIS reports that the Permanent Secretary has since assured the public that the work of the Technical Committee will go on, and further appreciated citizens making submissions to the committee.
Speaking at the same briefing, Mr Kalonde also clarified that he is not a member of the Technical Committee on Constitution Amendments.
He, however, said if appointed, he would not hesitate to take the appointment as he is also a Zambian citizen.
